9:00am- We have made about 5 miles today and I don't know how much farther we'll go. We passed a spike that got hit last night, but nowhere to build a fire around here, so, we left him there to rot. Last night we slept in a wheat feild and I was sure hoping I could get out of there before some farmer came along driving a big ole' combine and chew us up. I need food, Skil's is doing okay, but my belly says I am in need of substance.
3:00pm- We have set up the tent behind the Winn Dixie in Union, we'll wait for dark and see if I can get something for Skil's. If I can get hold of a Union paper, I'll check out the work prospects. We may stay here tomorrow too. Just take a rest and get our strength back. My little boy is game, I guess.
