8:30 am- Check this out, we are sitting in the woods across the street from "Andy's Antiques and Bar-B-Que". That's a first for me, I think. We laid in the rain all night last night, so I am drying what I can here in the woods. What a waste, its raining again. I have built a make shift shelter out of cardboard, it helps some. To a point! I'm hanging out here for a couple hours and get some rest for me and Skil's. Maybe some of this stuff will dry.
2:20pm- We stayed at the last spot until 10:ooam and now we are about 8 miles down the road. The sign says Madison 16 miles. We just made our way through Eatonton, I don't know if there is a town between here and Madison. I won't find out today I imagine. Looks like rain again this evening, oh the joy of the road! We passed a pecan farm and I picked up some by the road, all were stale. I keep thinking of that creek we passed over in Dublin "Hunger and Hardship Creek". Easy to see how it came to be named now. I think I'll make a sign "Ashville- Have Dog" and see if I can get us a ride out of this wet country. Worth a shot! Can't hurt. I am still wishing I had a map, hell, I don't know where we are at.
5:50pm- I am at a picnic area at Rock Eagle 4-H. I passed a ranger station and they had some literature on the park and it has somewhat of a map on it. Better than not having anything, I guess. Looks like I have to stay on 441 until I get to 123, there I take a right for 45 miles toward Greenville S.C.. We are talking 8 days walking here. We are goning to stay here at the picnic tables tonight. At least I can get underneath one if it rains again.
