Having Ups and Downs!

February 1, 2002- Friday- Day 98
2:00pm- I went to Ashville with Danny today and put in 3 hours working at a YWCA. It was a start, lets hope that his promises hold up. He says he has a big job coming up in Canton. That's about 80 miles from here in the mountains. Its probably still snowing there. It better be an inside job, I can't picture doing any kind of stucco in this weather, the water in the mud would freeze. It looks like he's got me, he gave me a big cut in pay and said if it gets any better, he'll pay me what he use to. Offered me $11.00 cash, no taxes, lord, I haven't worked for that kind of money since the 70's. I guess a body down on his luck, doesn't have much choice. I agreed and figured I would work my way back up. I'm sorta down in the dumps, but relieved on the other hand. Hell, who needs money, I got a dog! We'll see how it goes. The first sign of a slow down and I'm on the road again. Not much incentive to stay longer than the job lasts, under my current situation.
