Feed That Dog!

February 3, 2002- Sunday- Day "100"
6:00pm- Hey!, One hundred days hiking around the southeast states. I left home almost 5 months ago and this is as far as I am? Those 2 false starts back in Naples killed me. Well, next time!
Its been a light rain and its getting really cold. I can understand what those old pioneers went through now. I'll have to try crossing the Great Divide in the winter, then I can get the full effect. I don't even want to think about doing something idiotic like that. I have never considered myself completely stupid, even with some of my past actions. I remember a long time ago, that I thought I was done for in the Rockies and that was in July. So, I really have no desire to be there in the winter. I'm just bored and rambling again. I need to go for a walk.
8:00pm- Just got back from an interesting walk down to the middle of Landrum. I was stopped by that fellow that gave me the $20.00 the day I got here and he handed me another $8.00 and said make sure I feed that dog. Geez!
I passed a bank and the temperature is at 28F, Damn!, can that be right? Have I been out in the cold so long I can't tell if its cold or not? I need to get out of this camping mode for a while. My blood is getting to thick, it doesn't seem that cold to me. Maybe I can find something for me and Skil's after I get my first check
